5 Aquafilter Community filters have been sent to help the hurricane victims in St Lucia.
They were flown ut at no coast on a Virgin flight and will be distributed by the local Rotary Club Next week 6 more Aquafilter Communities will be sent to Pakistan through Feed the Children. This brings the total so far to 25, giving Safe Water to more than 12,000 people. We plan to continue to send Aquafilters to Pakistan .
We are now using moulded parts so assembling the filters is easier and quicker. This has led to an increase in production and we are planning to expand further to keep up with donations and demand.
Aquafilter Family - Feedback from our test -site in Gambia continues to be positive and we plan to return there at the end of November for more detailled testing. We are building a few Aquafilter Family units here in Sunderland .At Aquabox in Wirksworth the team of volunteers will be starting prouction at the end of the month. Then the Chlorine tablets in the Aquaboxes will be replaced by an Aquafilter Family. There will be no change in the cost of the boxes, but the filter will provide safe water for more than 3 years instead of around 3 months.
Thank you all for you support.
