LATEST NEWS ON WATER QUALITY TESTING
There is no international standard on water quality for non piped supplies, but there is an American standard from the USEPA which is often quoted.
Recently, Newcastle University and Northumbrian Water Scientific Services together tested an Aquafilter Community for bacteralogical safety. A water source, heavily contaminated with e-coli was used. The results shoed:
Aquafilter Community filtered water: 99.9999999% free from bacteria.
The USEPA requirement: 99.9999% free from bacteria.
WHICH MEANS THAT THE FILTERS SUPPLT WATER 1000 TIMES PURER THAN THE STANDARD
